Alessandro Raho (b. Nassau, Bahamas, 1971) trained at Goldsmiths College of Art, graduating in 1994. In 1995 he participated in the seminal exhibition Brilliant: New Art from London at Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, MN (travelled to Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston, TX), and has since then shown widely internationally. Museum shows include Painting on the Move, Kunsthalle Basel, Basel (2002); Attention to Detail, curated by Chuck Close, FLAG Art Foundation, New York, NY (2007); New Acquisitions, National Portrait Gallery, London (2005); and Wall Rockets: Contemporary Artists and Ed Ruscha, FLAG Art Foundation, New York, NY (2008). Public collections include New York's Museum of Modern Art, London's National Portrait Gallery, and Seattle's Museum of Art. He lives and works in London.
