Michael Bauer (b. Erkelenz, Germany, 1973) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Braunschweig, Germany. He has exhibited widely internationally including a solo exhibition at The Kunsthaus Baselland, Basel (2009). Important recent group shows include Faster! Bigger! Better! at ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany (2006), When the mood strikes..., Museum DD, Deurle, Belgium (2009), Die Andere Seite, KAI 10, Düsseldorf, Germany (2009) and Expanded Painting at the Prague Biennial (2007). He will also be featured in the forthcoming Painters Painter exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. He lives and works in New York, USA.
