Catherine Yass is taking part in the Strangelove Time Based Media Festival 2019.
Strangelove Festival, a nomadic project spanning 180 miles and five weeks, is a unique festival bridging the gap between time-based genres. From art videos, experimental film and conventional cinema; to sound and performance works, Strangelove Festival celebrates the diversity of time-based media, with a programme of exhibitions, screenings, commissioned works, talks and performances responding to the 2019 festival theme of Duration.
Catherine Yass’ work Descent will be shown at the festival, and documents a camera being lowered to the ground from a crane over a construction site at Canary Wharf, London, through thick fog.
